E-MAIL SETUP PROCEDURE:

Host mail server setup:

Creating an account on the server.

In the address line of your browser, type in http://www.domainname.com/cpanel
Use the login/password given to you get into the control panel setup.
Click on 'mail' and choose 'create account'
Enter username
Enter password
Create the account.
You may now logout.

Outlook setup:

To set up outlook:

1. Start outlook

2. Click on tools, select e-mail accounts

3. Select new

4. Select pop3

5. For User info:

Name: username

E-mail address: username@domainname.com

For login info:

User name: username@domainname.com

Password: password

6. Server Info: mail.domainname.com

(enter the above for both)

7. Click on more settings:

8. Select advanced tab:

Incoming pop3 should be 110

Outgoing smtp should be 26

If planning on viewing from multiple computers,
check the box that says 'leave copy on computer'
MAKE SURE TO SET THE AGING TIMER ( 5 days ? )

9. Select outgoing server tab:

Check the box that requires authentication

10. Go back and Click on test settings

 

Checking e-mail on the server:

In the browser address line, type in:
http://www.domainname.com/webmail

enter the username (username@domainname.com) and password.

Select any of the mail interfaces ( I prefer squirrel ) and you should
be able to get to your mail on the server.
